Just over a year ago Mom, Dad and I took a road trip that included a few days in Indiana. We camped at a KOA in Middlebury, and spent a day at the Shipshewana flea market. This year we decided to return with my wife Maggie and Sister Donna so that they could enjoy the area like we did.
Maggie and I planned to leave on Friday, August 1st with our cat Snow to stay at a KOA in Hagerstown, MD. We would meet up with Mom, Dad and Donna on Saturday somewhere in Pennsylvania or Ohio. Snow and I picked up Maggie in Crystal City late in the afternoon, and we drove northwest out of town, through periods of rain and drizzle. Three hours later we arrived at the KOA and set up for the night. While checking in we found out that tonight was pizza delivery night, and tomorrow morning they would offer breakfast in the snack bar. We ordered a pizza for 7:30, and then went back to the trailer to change to our swim suits, as the rain had stopped. On the way back we walked through a playground and beautiful garden area. Snow was peeking out of the window checking out the sites.

The campground had a nice pool, and we were the only ones in it for about a half hour. Afterwards we took our showers and waited for the pizza to be delivered. They were right on time and delicious. I suggested a walk around the campground to help digestion, and we set off. As we passed the half way point we spotted a pink trailer that looked like a Scamp. I approached the gentleman sitting at the picnic table and inquired about the RV, and was surprised to find out that he and his wife Sherry had just walked past our trailer and were curious about the specifications!

Think Pink!
Sherry Sonntag-Whorl is a Stained Glass artist staying in Hagerstown that weekend for a local craft fair. They bought the 1976 13' Scamp second hand from her brother after he used it for a hunting lodge. She revamped the interior and painted the outside bright pink, and it's a real eye catcher. Maggie invited them over to our trailer so that they could check out the latest offerings of Scamp. They were impressed with the modern conveniences, especially the built in microwave.
